About Us

Who We Are

We are believers in Christ from various backgrounds who love the Lord Jesus Christ and endeavor to give Him “the first place in all things” (Colossians 1:18).  Our desire is to cooperate with Him for the accomplishment of His eternal purpose (Ephesians 3:11) by ministering the unsearchable riches of Christ (Ephesians 3:8) for the building up of the Body of Christ (Ephesians 4:12).

As an organization, Christians on Campus has been registered at North Lake since 2002. We meet together for the growth and mutual encouragement in the Christian life through campus Bible studies, prayer, and group gatherings.

We warmly receive all believers in Christ and seek to maintain the oneness of the Spirit by keeping our focus on Christ.  He is so rich! He is so full! He is everything to us, and we enjoy Him!

What We Believe

We hold the faith which is common to all believers (Titus 1:4; Jude 1:3):

  • The Bible is the complete divine revelation inspired word-by-word by God through the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21; 2 Timothy 3:16).
  • The Son of God, who is God Himself, was incarnated to be a man by the name of Jesus Christ (John 1:1; John 1:14).

What We Do

We enjoy reading the Bible, praying, singing, and enjoying Christ.  To facilitate this, we have several types of meetings during the week and throughout the semester:

  • Bible Studies — Two types of Bible studies are held during the week – a large group Bible Study and small group Bible studies.
    • The large group Bible study is held weekly in room H-205 on Thursdays at 12:30 pm.  Anyone who is available at this time can come to enjoy fellowship from God’s Word.
    • The small group Bible studies are held throughout the week in smaller groups of three to five people.  Each group is tailored to fit the schedule of individual students.  If you are interested in setting up a small group Bible study, you can send an e-mail to christiansoncampusnlc@gmail.com with the subject line “Small Group Bible Study”.
  • Home Group Meetings – During the week, members of the Irving community who support Christians on Campus invite students to their homes to fellowship, pray, sing hymns, and enjoy Christ.
  • Weekly Student Meeting – The weekly student meeting is held on Thursday night and is a meeting where students from North Lake and other campuses get together to eat, sing, and fellowship over the Word.
  • Southwest Regional Conference – Once per semester, we get together for a weekend long conference at Latham Springs Baptist Encampment in Latham Springs, Texas.  The conference is for campuses in the Southwest region, and it’s a great time to meet believers from the area campuses.  It’s also a great opportunity to set aside a weekend to get into the Bible and allow the Lord to enlighten and speak.
  • End of Semester Celebration Dinner– At the end of each semester, a dinner is held to celebrate what the Lord has done in all of our lives.  We gather together to have dinner and share how the Lord has worked in our life that semester.

We also like to preach the gospel and pray for one another.  To do this, we schedule times to go out to present the gospel and times to pray for each other and for our personal burdens.  Please join us during the semester for times of preaching the gospel and praying for one another.
